If you’re anything like me then you love a good market- whether it be a vintage, flea or a farmer’s market. I love going through stall after stall anticipating what I may find. It’s the thrill of the chase for me – the fact that I may discover some secret treasure hiding amongst a rack of colourful 70’s ponchos. Or that I may discover some local artist that makes the most delightful terrariums with little dinosaurs inside. Oh yes I have!
Either way, I am and will always be a market girl. The only dilemma I have is knowing when and where they will take place. There’s nothing worse than discovering the day after that there was the most amazing vintage market taking place while I was at home oblivious!
This is where the team from The Market Roll come in. They have created a site that gives market goers and market stall holders a place to come together.
“Our vision is to build a place where market goers can see exactly who will be at markets and when they’ll be there, all the while helping market stall holders promote their creative and innovative products” says Adelle.
The Market Roll is based in Melbourne and was founded in 2010 by Adelle and Jin who share a passion for art and design and of course visiting markets. The duo have created a concept that was missing in the market world. If you haven’t already checked out their site – hop to it- there may be the greatest market on right now as we speak. Happy hunting. x
