Gypsey and Musquito

My love for coffee is quite well known around my family- my boys know that I’m not able to string a sentence together in the mornings until I get my caffeine hit. I’m lucky to live in an area where I am spoilt for good coffee- and there seem to be new cafes opening up every day.

Gypsey and Musquito (382 Bridge Rd, Richmond) has been around for a little while now and has really made it’s mark both with their fantastic coffee and unique, homestyle cooking. Ingredients are native Australian – wattle seed, bush tomatoes and finger limes. They have a great range of vegetarian options as well – the quinoa salad is one of my favourites.

My favourite part of Gypsey and Mosquito is their clever use of vintage items throughout the cafe. Vintage chairs, old spoons, mismatched crockery, industrial crates – all blend together to create a visual beauty that is so pleasing to the eye. I’m currently trying out the hanging boxes as shelves myself. Wish me luck. x
