Now that winter is well and truly over, it’s time to change/update our skincare routine. Over the colder months I’m not really worried about sunscreen for my face, but now that summer is just around the corner I need to get back into my slip, slop, slapping! (For anyone outside Australia who is wondering what the heck I’m on about- it’s a mantra we have here- slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat).
I’ve trialled a few moisturisers with sunscreen in the past, but I always seem to come back to Invisible Zinc.Β Zinc is one of the most effective forms of sunscreen, however in the past it only came in white and was usually found on the noses of cricketers- I present Exhibit A:
Luckily we don’t need to walk around looking like that in order to protect ourselves from the sun. Invisible Zinc is a tinted moisturiser that provides 30+ protection while giving good coverage to even out your complexion. It’s a natural mineral sunscreen that contains no chemicals, no parabens and is not tested on animals. I use it in place of my BB creams over summer as I find it lasts longer on the face when it’s really hot. It comes in a range of shades from very light to dark/tanned skin.
A 50g tube will set you back around $32 and should last you at least 6 months. There’s also a range of other products such as foundation and moisturisers, but it’s the tinted daywear that has won a stack of awards and really is one of the best ways to look great and look after your skin. Try it and let me know what you think. x
I love Invisible zinc…but I’m also fond of cricketers. π
Cheers,
Laura

Sounds great! Will have to put away my BB cream and give it a try. Again, thanks for the education x
