Once bitten, twice as shy…

Tell me baby, do you recognise me?
Well, it’s been a year, it doesn’t surprise me.
Happy Christmas. I wrapped it up and sent it…
With a note saying I love you I meant it.
Now I know, what a fool…

Sorry for that impromptu karaoke session, but the name of this next product gets Last Christmas stuck in my head every time. Besides 1) it is nearly Christmas and 2) there should always be time in our day for some Wham.

Zoe Foster (beauty guru) and I (Wham fan).

Yesterday I attended a presentation at Myer hosted by the always-fabulous Zoe Foster. Beauty Guru, blogger, author and lion tamer (not sure why but I can imagine her in a coat and glittery top hat cracking a whip at some lions). Zoe has given me many tips over the years, such as: don’t wear a lot of dark eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes as it can age you, how to GHD your hair to make it look like a fabulous blow wave and the importance of having nicely groomed eyebrows. Zoe has tons of ‘professional’ beauty experience whereas mine is confined to the walls of my bathroom. So when she talks- I listen.

Zoe Foster – so camera shy.

Zoe saying something about eyes, lashes…I’m thinking how cute is that dress!!

Zoe was there to introduce Revlon‘s new Just Bitten Kissable lip balm stains. A bit of a mouthful to say but a really wonderful product. It’s a cross between a balm and a lipstick. They’re called lip stains because after the initial gloss has gone you are still left with a stain of colour on your lips. If you’re a fan of stains but find them too drying then this is perfect for you- it’s much more moisturising and feels more lipsticky on than lip stain. They also have a subtle minty smell to them which gives you an added zing of freshness.

There’s a whole myriad of colours – from neutrals to bright reds. After trying a few, I settled on a light purply-pink colour called Darling Cherie. Once applied it lasted pretty much all day- through eating, coffee drinking and light *ahem* kissing. I only reapplied it once to get some gloss back. But the stain of colour was still there without that dry cracked feeling.

The lip balms retail for around $18 so are perfect if you’re new to the whole lip-balm-stain-wham-singing thing. If you already love lip stains then at this price you can afford to splurge and get a couple. x

** Zoe isn’t really a lion tamer.
