The perfect boot

Now that summer is well and truly over here in the land of Oz, it’s time to bid farewell to our love affair with open toed clogs (ok, my love affair) and embrace our love of boots! What I love most about the approaching cold weather is the fact that we have so many more dressing options – cardigans, coats, scarves, beanies, tights. In fact one of the main reasons I tune into Offspring (yipee- it’s back on air very soon) is to see which fabulous pair of boots Nina is wearing. I’ve since discovered that she wears D.Co Copenhagen boots and she gets them from my all time favourite Danish fashion store Dansk. If you haven’t made a trip to Dansk yet – go. They stock all the amazing Nordic fashion labels for men and women such as Minimum, D. Co Copenhagen, NN.07 and Samsoe & Samsoe.

This season it’s all about the ankle boot. Wear them with jeans, with skirts, dresses, tights – anything really. They are perfect to dress up or down. I’m on the look out for the perfect ankle boot- the ones that look effortlessly chic no matter what you’re doing. I want to be able to wear them with jeans for the school run or with an amazing dress for date night. I don’t want a high heel, but I don’t want them flat either. Real leather, not faux. Preferably a Chelsea boot style- either in a black or tan. Preferably under $200.

Phew, now that you’ve read my wish list, have a look at what I’ve come up with. These are my favourites so far, and now I have the first world problem of not knowing which ones to choose. Help. Which are your favourites? Have you recently purchased some new ankle boots I should know about? Please share. X

Uh oh! I like them all!! I’m obviously not going to be much help for you. I guess the main thing to consider is the heel height. I am sure you are younger than me, but I have to look at how practical the heel is if I am going to be in them alot of the time. There is nothing worse than investing alot of $ and then not getting the wear out of them because they are ‘not quite right’. Good luck xx
