Occasionally my husband will come home with some gifts that are so kick-arse I would do back flips. If I could.
This is one of those times. Douglas and Hope have released a series of melamine plates that are part of a collaboration they did with a group of Melbourne artists. One of the designs is from Ghost Patrol, a Melbourne graff artist who creates these whimsical yet powerful pieces. You can see a lot of his art right through inner-city Melbourne, particularly Fitzroy. I love that this is a small way to own a part of his art work. Although a collaboration of our own is on its way. Stay tuned! This initiative by Douglas and Hope encapsulates everything I love about creative Melbourne- street art, supporting local designers and artists.
Douglas and Hope have closed their bricks and mortar store but they’re very much open for business on line. If you’re not already a fan check them out, they have a whole range of gorgeous products for you and the home. X
I discovered you through the Friday Nuffnang ‘best of’ post… love your blog!
And I LOVE that ‘Fuck yeah’ plate. Omg, I must get one!
Thank you so much Reality Chick- that means a lot! I love that plate too!! Can’t wait to use it for family dinner 😉 x
Apparently they are getting more stock of the plates in June. I emailed Douglas and Hope. I want to get two and present dinner on them for my hubby one night. It’ll be hilarious 🙂
