T is for Tiger…

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to roar at the camera in front Β of a huge tiger picture? Yes? Thought so. It happened to me recently while walking through Richmond town. It was a bleak and grey Melbourne morning when this piece of art literally stopped me in my tracks. A very beautiful and appropriate piece for tiger land don’t you think? It just so happened I was wearing my animal print leggings too. Perfect! Rawwwr!

Animal print is something I have a love/hate relationship with. If it’s done badly it can look very ageing, if it’s done well I think it looks fabulous! By ageing I don’t mean that if you are of a certain age you should steer clear of it, what I mean is if you’re wearing a leopard print jacket and boots, maybe hold off on the leopard print bag (and boots!). If you want to wear animal print well without channelling Snooki or Nanny Fine, may I suggest you stick to only one item of animal print at a time. Pair some leopard pants with a plain T, or rock those zebra boots with a cute black dress. By all means carry that cute tiger-print tote, but perhaps not when you’re wearing your leopard scarf and zebra tights. Oh, unless the look you’re going for is Jungle Jane, then by all means- knock yourself out!

Animal print is not just for the ladies. I love a man that can rock some tiger stripes. I think with the right pieces, animal print is timeless and classy. It’s a print that is always in style and on trend. It can be worn by anyone at any age, no matter what body shape and size.

Here’s some fun pieces I found recently on my favourite online store ASOS. Not just for the ladies this time, some super cute pieces for the boys too. What do you think? Are you an animal print lover? X
