Today the boys and I had the pleasure of attending Melbourne Central’s Roof Top Tennis Club. Located on Level 3 just near Strike Bowling, this is the first time that Melbourne Central’s rooftop has been open to the public. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the sights and sounds of Melbourne’s summer of tennis.
There are so many fun and interactive elements to this rooftop club. The concierge desk is run by Nike staff and encourages people to use the space in lots of ways. The Nike product display shows key looks that the players are wearing currently at the Australian Open. There are big screens for you to watch the games on as well as a Nike photo booth where you’re able to share your image instantly on social media. The boys had great fun drawing on the chalkboard.
There’s a replica 3/4 size, blue tennis court where you have a chance to practice your game amongst Melbourne’s sky scrapers. Racquets and balls are provided so all you need to bring is your cute tennis outfit.
Free water and sunscreen are readily available at many points which is just as well considering this week is going to be an absolute scorcher in Melbourne. Thankfully there are also water misters to cool you down after your game.
Food is covered by the likes of Corn Boss and Little Champs with their delicious corn on the cob and brioche rolls. Just divine. Hand Made Ice Pops are also on site with their amazing flavours of home made ice cream. I have a hunch they’ll sell out this week so grab one while you can. I highly recommend the raspberry and cream!
So if you’re looking for somewhere different to enjoy the tennis this summer then this is it. Whether you just want to hang out and watch the big screens or have a game yourself there’s no better venue than on a Melbourne rooftop. Let’s be honest, we do love a good rooftop club don’t we Melbourne? X
