Last night I set off in search of the New Gold Mountain bar in the city. Located in one of Melbourne’s laneways I was told to look for the fixie bike hanging precariously from the wall. How very Melbourne.
The evening was organised by Nuffnang and it was a chance to catch up with fellow bloggers like Iolanthe from Ruby Slipper and Marianne from Esme and the Laneway. It was a Wednesday so we all wore red lipstick. My outfit was a 90’s style denim dress which was a recent op shop find ($6!) teamed with my ghetto-tastic hoops I recently bought from a street vendor in New York. I was trying to channel Neneh Cherry but was totally lacking all my Buffalo Girls.
We had a chance to sample some Hemingway daiquiris and delicious treats from Rice Paper Scissors which are conveniently located next door to New Gold Mountain in Liverpool lane.Cintia from My Poppet shaking up a storm.Craft-tastic light installation.More daiquiri happiness. Cheers! Yes Iolanthe, that is Trish Hunter sitting next to you. Thanks for a great night Nuffnang and New Gold Mountain. I’ll definitely be back – with my Buffalo Girls this time. Peace out. X
